The Student Money Advice Team may wish to keep a client record of your details on file to ensure that its staff can assist you in the best way possible. All personal details will be kept in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
In order to assist you, this information may be shared internally with: relevant staff in the Student Sevices Department; Finance Division; Accommodation Services; Student Administration Services; the Hardship Fund Committee; relevant staff in Faculties, the Alumni and Development Office, Marketing and Student Recruitment and externally: with the Student Loans Company; Student Finance Wales; the Department for Education and Skills; Student Finance England; the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills; Student Finance Northern Ireland; Student Support Agency for Scotland; the Skills Funding Agency; UHOVI project staff; the Home Office; Immigration Services; the British Council and UKCISA.
The Student Money Advice Team will also contact you using your email address to request feedback in order that we can develop and improve our service.
If the Adviser wishes to disclose this information to any other source then your explicit consent will be sought prior to any disclosure.
Client records will be kept securely and will be held for 6 years after the end of the academic year in which the record initially began. At this point all data will be destroyed in a confidential and secure manner.
